We have traveled on Silversea 17 times and think it is a great cruise line. We chose this trip because of the timing, the fact that it is a new ship and the itinerary was interesting.
There were several problems, however.
There are many dining venues and reservations are required for all of them. There is no "open" dining venue and it's first come for reservations and first serve. If one cancels a reservation you can literally be "boxed out' for dinner It's a bit disconcerting to be told "well you can always have room service". The dining venues are quite luxurious.
The cabin is spacious and the furniture is fine. The bed is comfortable. Butler service is outstanding and the cabin was clean and neat. The bathroom was adequate.
