I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the quality of the food/service on Holland America. The itinerary was wonderful! We did not choose to do any of the ship excursions, but we did a lot of excursions with fellow travelers.

The ship was nice and fresh from drydock. I do think that some of the new decor is a bit modern for the style of the ship, but that could just be me.

I found the food in the Lido lacking. The quality wasn't very good and the service was poor.

Cabin Review

Large Outside Stateroom (fully obstructed views)

Cabin H

This was a nicely appointed cabin. We were able to see above and beside the lifeboat so I was quite pleased with the obstructed view. There was no noise above or below our cabin. Excellent location on the ship. Plenty of storage space and everything was in good working order. Room even had a refrigerator, which was very handy.

Port Reviews

Venice

I found Venice to be interesting but dirty. They do not take kindly to cruise ship passengers and we were treated very rudely on several occasions. I would not go back.

Athens (Piraeus)

Very enjoyable city with lots to see.
