Cabin: Spa Mini-Suite with Balcony

This is my second time on the Breakaway. I thought the shows were good but not as good as the last time. The Cirque show was better this time around. The food was very good. Our service in the complimentary restaurants was slow and disappointing. The spa mini-suite was the same size as a balcony with the bathroom being awesome. The thermal suite/spa experience was beyond awesome. Our favorite restaurants would be the Brazilan steakhouse, Cagneys, Hibatchi, Sheehans, Gardens Cafe, Taste and then Savor. The casino was a nice size for a cruise ship and the servers were friendly and accommodating. My favorite waiter was, Tpohd (not sure of the spelling) Lapar Shaikh. He is a bar waiter. Let him know what you like and he will keep them coming. After a great cruise, the disembarkation was a disaster! They called the luggage tags way too fast and the line was ridiculous. We waited in line for over an hour before we were off the ship. We still had to claim our luggage and then go through customs. This was a epic fail on the part of NCL. I was planning on a return cruise but will probably choose a different ship next time based on this issue. I have cruised on bigger ships on RC and never had an experience like this.

Cabin Review

Spa Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M9

We were excited to be staying in a Spa mini-suite. The cabin is the same size as the balcony cabins except the bathroom is awesome. You get spa quality shampoos, conditioner, and lotion. The balcony is like a postage stamp. We barely used it due to its incredibly small size. We were not told about the thermal spa unlimited use. We had to find that out on our own. Oh my, it is awesome. Just call the spa and they will tell you to come up and they place a sticker on the back of your card and show you around. Enjoy!

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

The port is crazy busy on cruise days. Know that unless you are arriving by taxi you will need to walk. We took the NJ transit from Secacus/Meadlowlands and walked the 8 blocks from the bus station to the port. It is doable and not too bad.
