First time with Princess (the Emerald Princess). Cruised Alaska June 4, 2017. The ship was fine and the food and bars were great, but the entertainment was a bit lacking; focusing too much on passenger participation, like game shows and singing competitions. For the money we pay, there ought to be more performances by paid professionals and less by passenger wannabes. Also, I have a major complaint about the excursion involving scenic cruising of the Tracy Arm Fjord. A small boat transports the passengers from the cruise ship to within a quarter mile or so of the glacier. The trip from the ship to the glacier is a comfortable 10 minutes. However, the cruise ship then leaves for Juneau and - after viewing the glacier for approximately an hour - the small excursion craft transports the passengers all the way to Juneau, which takes in excess of 3 hours. The return trip is excruciating. The transport boat is uncomfortable for such a long return trip. It would have been much more comfortable during the trip to Juneau to have been on the cruise ship. The viewing of the glacier should be shortened to allow for a return to the cruise ship before it leaves for Juneau. Not to mention that the return trip was made all the more unpleasant by the fact that the excursion boat arrived in Juneau 45 minutes late, making it extremely difficult and uncomfortable for people (like me) who had a second excursion planned for that afternoon. A lot of wasted and uncomfortably spent time on the "Cruising Tracy Arm" excursion. In addition, the excursion in Ketchikan that involves walking through the rainforest and ending with an all you can eat crab feast is a bit of a misnomer. Its all you can eat - in the short time provided.

Seattle

Our cruise left from Seattle. My first time in Seattle. A beautiful city. We arrived the morning before the cruise to sightsee in Seattle, which included going to the top of the space needle. Spectacular views.

Victoria

We did not do a formal excursion, but we took a shuttle into the city and had a drink at an outdoor bar. A beautiful city. I was glad I saw it, despite that our visit was brief and limited.
