First cruise for my wife and step-son and I was a bit nervous about the experience they would have. Having cruised before I have dealt with times with long lines for embarkation, disembarkation, and multiple other areas and my wife hates lines. I was surprised and impressed at how well all of these things went with Norwegian as all were fairly seamless. Couple things we were a little disappointed in such as the availability of pool/deck space on sea days but that seems to be status quo for most cruises. Food was overall good to very good except for one experience. Included with our cruise was the dining package for which we went to Le Bistro, La Cucina, and Cagneys. Both Le Bistro and La cucina were both overall very good. Cagneys, the steakhouse, was a complete disappointment however. Besides the order coming out wrong twice and never being fixed the steaks themselves were awful. Both my daughters filet and my porterhouse tasted like something that might have just come off the buffet at a golden corral. My step sons ribeye was OK. Between the lack of attention to detail and the poor steaks didn't make for a great experience. My daughter did have another filet at Le Bistro though that was excellent so it doesn't appear to be a meat quality issue but a cooking/seasoning one.
