I believe Holland American Line only does this trip several times in the summer , and it is one of the few that includes the far Northcape of Norway. We took it primarily for the scenery, and we were certainly not disappointed! There was just the right number of sea days and time ashore, and cruising through the fjords of Norway was a beautiful experience. The Rotterdam is an older ship , and unfortunately our only real complaint was that the windows were very dirty . I understand the ship is soon to go into dry dock, so the problems with the windows goes beyond just simple cleaning. Hopefully that will improve the views from the public area . But being a mid size ship with interesting decor, we found it very comfortable. The passengers were certainly older, but most extremely well traveled. In addition to a wide range of activities and entertainment, it is one of the few cruise lines that had a classical option for those interested in that type of music. The dining experience was outstanding , and all of the personnel were most helpful and gracious . It also offered an afternoon tea that was beautifully prepared and served. Wish we were still on board!
