I chose this ship since I was traveling with my 10 year old granddaughter for her first cruise. It's been a long time since I sailed with RCCL, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We had amazing cabin steward who made everyday a joy for my granddaughter with his animal towels, and attention to detail in organizing her things! She loved it. We also had 2 wonderful waiters that took great care of us. Throughout the week, we added 2 more girls to our table that were my GD friends and the waiters were fabulous with the girls. Offering tips and suggestions to the girls. Apparently not everyone I talked to had such great luck with their waiters. Several were rude, lacked any conversation with their tables and rushed them off.

There was plenty of activities for kids, however the "towel saving" chairs was definitely a problem. There were stacks of chairs not in use, but the pool guys refused to get any down despite space. I was told, "I counted the chairs in that area, and I don't want to count chairs again" and walked away! There was also lots of empty's reserved for the concierge guests, but again they wouldn't put any down on the pool deck area. I'm not sure what maintenance was doing, but everyday at sea they were working with a jack hammer in the pool area. The band tried to play loud to cover, but it made it worse. It was extremely annoying and definitely not a way to relax.

We did the ship's excursion in Roatan going to the Mayan Princess Resort. There wasn't much to it and I would have preferred to be in an area that had better snorkeling. The lunch was fair, and the resort was nice.
