This is the first cruise and it will be the last. I feel terrible bringing my parents and my pregnant wife along to this cruise on the Royal Caribbean, Jewel of the Seas.

FOOD: For 9 nights we experienced terrible food that was all frozen, not fresh and tasteless. We ended up eating in the buffet most nights as that food was actually slightly better than all the "fine dining" restaurants on board (although after a couple of days of the same food in the buffet everyday you certainty did not look forward to eating). In the "fine dining" restaurants on board, the food came out cold, not fresh and just certainty not worthwhile paying any extra money. Plus of course you have to pay mandatory tips on top of the bill and the waiters suck up to you and expect more tips on top even when the food is terrible. On two occasions we found hair in our food and both times the waiter couldn't care less, the manager actually said to me "that's not hair, that's mat". Like a placemat? He stared at it on the table and was so rude about it. I didn't realise a placemat was ok to eat...

ADDITIONAL EXTRAS: Be prepared to pay for coffee, water, delivery charge for room service (which no other cruises have) and mandatory gratuities everyday for everything plus all staff suck up to you everyday for more tips.
