First cruise on Azamara, after a lot of cruises on Cunard, and one cruise on Celebrity. I enjoyed this cruise very much.

Pros :

- Nice ship, with an elegant, but relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Cabin Review

Club Continent Suite

Cabin N1

Large cabin (suite) midship, bathtub, bed facing stern, sofabed for a third person. Spotless, thanks to the excellent work of Xavier, Remi and Carmelit, always so helpful.

. Some little problems like very low drawers (impossible to use if you have back or knees pains!), The laundry line over the bathtub is a really good idea.

One black point : cabin is on deck 8 and noisy at the beginning/end of the night, because just under pool deck (people walking heavily, running, scratching floor with chairs....)

Sorry for all the mistakes in this review, english is not my motherlanguage.

Port Reviews

Monaco (Monte Carlo)

A peaceful day : after exiting pier, I took the lift in the parking (immediatly on the left) and began a wonderful walk on "Le chemin des pêcheurs" along the sea. Some elevators and lifts later, I reached the "musée océanographique" and visited the gorgeous gardens nearby. Then the Cathedral and finally, the palace and old Monaco.

Florence (Livorno)

Took the local bus from the port (Azamara docks in city center, no shuttle) to the station, took a train to Pisa Centrale, changed train to Lucca, beautiful medieval town. Then, train back to Pisa, stopped at Pisa San Rossore (station very close to the tower and field of miracles, 5mn walk) : beautiful, but a lot of silly tourists taking pictures of other silly tourists trying to sustain the tower! Took another train from Pisa San Rossore to Pisa centrale (5 mn trip) then another train to Livorno and the local bus from the station to the port : easier than it seems!

Sorrento

Took the lift to the town, interesting visit of the cloister, some beautiful churches and museum. The museum itself is not really a "must do", but has a beautiful park and a belvedere with gorgeous views on the bay. Very pleasant to cross orange-trees fields before reaching it. The town itself is very busy and noisy.

Port Vendres (Carcassonne)

Didn't want to spend 4hs in a bus to see Carcassonne : took the local bus to Collioure (7 mn bus trip), very nice town. Visit to the church and to the medieval Castle.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

A very good surprise : we were supposed to go to Malta but, because of a snap election, we went to Palma instead. Bad weather but a beautiful town : royal palace and cathedral. Azamazing evening in the cathedral.
