We arrived in Galveston the night before and did some walking around the Strand. We stayed at the Tremont, which, if you are looking for a nearby hotel to the terminal, this is it! Beautiful and stately, fabulous rooms. However, it's expensive!

We had a hard time finding where to take luggage and where to get ready to board. Signage needs to be higher and clearly readable. But after some back and forth, we were all set.

We were early, and spent some time exploring the ship, along with everyone else. Although some online advice said, go to the speciality restaurants, they will offer deals, none of them were open. Nothing was open, except the buffet, until we set sail. And it was pouring rain on and off so no pools or anything. Be prepared by bringing some cards, or books, or something.

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Very nice, and bigger than what I expected. Go for the Balcony, it is so worth it!!!!
