I can see the Oasis of the Seas from my back porch in Cocoa Beach, Florida. For over a year I've watched her sail in every Sunday morning then watched her leave every Sunday evening. And, every time I've told my husband that we needed to "take a cruise on that ship". We finally did it!
Since we live so close, embarkation was easy for us. But, more importantly, it was easy for my 85 year old mother-in-law to navigate the embarkation area at Cruise Terminal 1 when she dropped us off. Polite, helpful parking attendants helped, too, with clear instructions as to where she could/could not stop and how to pull out afterward.
There were A LOT of people in that terminal by the time we were allowed to board the ship! But, the only real issue was with the ladies' bathroom. Too few stalls for so many people resulted in a fairly long wait to use one.
The cabin was more than adequate for the two of us. Large bed (a little too soft but you cannot have everything!). Ample storage/closet space and a good-sized bathroom. The room steward did a good job keeping it clean and stocked with towels, etc. as needed. And, we were glad we paid a little extra for a balcony. Balconies are great for morning coffee, especially since continental breakfast room-service is still free of charge on Royal Caribbean.
As stated in the review itself, Terminal 1 at Port Canaveral is well laid out and those dropping people off have a fairly easy time of it. There are some issues with too many people for too few bathroom stalls in the waiting area but, then again, they are handling close to 6500 passengers on embarkation day.
