Price was right and just wanted to relax. Have always enjoyed cruising on Carnival. However we were disapponted this time. Let me first list the positives. First, our room steward was very attentive. It felt like he was always there with a friendly greeting and asking if we needed anything. Secondly, the comedy club shows, as usual, were enjoyable. For the most part the service staff was very helpful and friendly. The ship was clean there weren't any issues that we were aware of.

However, based on previous cruises (FYI, were are Platinum members), the quality of what we expected based on past cruises, was NOT there. Service in the dining room was OK at best and sloppy/slow at worst. While the presentation of the meals was nice, the quality of what was served was lacking from prior cruises. I will use one example. Carnival offers, for and additional $20, two entres from their Steakhouse Selection. Since we like to gamble, the casino offered us a promo which allowed us order our dinner from the Steakhouse section. So we ordered the Maine lobster & steak dinner. However it should have been labeled shrimp & steak. Not sure where the lobster came from, but it didn't look like Maine. And second, the size was more in line with a small jumbo shrimp. I feel bad for any passengers who actually ordered that. They should be give a full refund. Overall the best I can say for the food, was that you did go hungry.

As for the shows, the best one was the juggler. We were very disappointed with the cruise entertainers. Some were OK while others needed additional voice training or another job.

Good size room, however layout needed some adjustment. For one thing, we moved the bed from one side to the other which seemed to give us a little for room to around. Since I have some difficulty walking, this was important. Closets space was sufficient, but one closet in the room should be modified because you weren't able to open the door fully to acesss it. luckily we didn't bring that much with us so we didn't really need to use it. One nice feature was the separate dressing area with closets, just outside the bathroom. You have to seen to understand.
