got to car park southampton couldnt believe size of ship sat in car just looking at it when man knocked window saying are you ok mam i said lovely thanks he said may we take your cases mam he opened the boot took cases while we sat looking at the ship, after 3 minute walk we sat down to have a coffee as it was only 10,40am from a coffee cart as we finished it lady said we embarking now would you like to get on well that was it time to go through omg we thought 20 mins ago we was parked up and now we are walking on ship well what can i say flabergasted by her size first thing we done was look at childrens activities and what about for children as i work in a school and wondered whats for kids on there it was great lovely rooms from babies upwards to teens as knew when the kids came on it would all be full well more than i could have imagined for kids , beautiful ship plenty of room everywhere, lovely soft clean towels for pools, hot tubs amazing ,wow food is lovely plenty of choice in windjammer , and even more choice in mdr treat you so well ,cabin very clean maid done towel changes up to three times a day could not fault her . plenty of entertainment from irish singers, bands shows, comedy even bingo ,shops are clean and cafes lovely coffee and cakes, my hubby and i had soda package as he dont drink and i only have a couple of cocktails and few g & ts but next time i will have the drink package as i think its worth it after a couple of cocktails, drink with your meals and a few of an evening works out exspencive but was first cruise and did not know the drill next time would buy drinks package , i id buy internet as was lost with not using my phone found it well worth it. bought 6 photos from photo shop very nice and a little flutter in casino, the cruise compass that they leave in your cabin tells you all about the following day what dress to wear on the evenings activities and the weather for the day , maid gave us animals made from towels which was lovely ,so now the boring bit me being a smoker and hubby not ,i was worried they would not be so many places to smoke no problems at all deck 4 , deck 11 on the one side and a small room next to pyramid lounge lovely in there met some lovely friends too nice to have a drink and a smoke inside .the cleaners they are cleaning all the time you are on the time you are on the ship to keep it spick and span, now the shore excursions well we wanted to go to paris as we went 20 years ago and lost all our photos of eiffel tower so booked with rci the shorter trip to paris two and a half hours each way on coach very long journey but only had 58 mintutes there to look at tower did not think it was worth it at all but we got photos anyway another hour or so there would have been fine as we had plenty of time before ship left only thing i could moan about really , then we done cherbourg with there coaches 10 euro return and gijon 10 euro return ,so all in all could not fault anything will cruise again soon xx
