This was our first ever cruise and it won't be our last thanks to NCL. We arrived at the terminal at 11:30 and because we booked through CAS we were on the VIP list and were taken to the counter right away with no wait. The whole process for 3 people took no more then 10 min. We were then shown how to go to the VIP waiting area. While on the way they started to board the ship and someone ran (yes ran) after us to have us board immediately. We were given a glass of Champagne and juice when we were on board. I had read many boards here on CC and knew to go to the Venetian for lunch. The food was great and our server Marylou was the best. We always asked to be in her area every night when we dined there.

Our rooms were ready at 2PM and the room Stewart was there to meet us. He emptied the fridge and brought more towels and a mattress topper for the pull out. He also rearranged the room putting the large bed up against the wall and the end table between the bed and pull out giving my Mom room to get up at night to use the bathroom. We gave him a tip that first day and there was nothing he wouldn't do for us. The room was large enough and very clean and we enjoyed the balcony everyday.

This was the first cruise for the new menus again and they were OK. The were they same in both MDRS with 3 new selections every night. We tried Salsa and Cagney's on two nights and they were great. FYI on sea days most of the restaurants are buy one get one free.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BC

We had a balcony cabin 9066 on the Dawn .The room was large enough for 3 adults. The balcony was small but had two chairs and a small table. We had no problem with smoke from another balcony, and it was very private. The closet was large enough for all three of us even with Mom taking enough clothes to last 3 weeks. The drawer space was small but there were 4 shelves on the side on the closet interior that was fine to put folded things on. The bathroom was OK in size and was in 3 sections with sliding glass doors to separate the toilet and sink and shower . The fridge was large enough to hold some late night snacks and some water after your Steward empties the other stuff from it. The TV is old and small, but who watches TV on a cruise.
