We have travelled on m.s.c. Now for the 4th time, and 2 on the sinfonia. In 2013 from c.town to genoa hit was a great trip and we were so happy with everything on the ship excepting the air conditioning which went from freezing in the dining rooms and some lounges and didn't have a constant comforftable temperature throughout. This trip i had to go to the hospital owing to this air con situation as i am asthmatic and had to have treatment to the cost of $383.00!!!! everywhere we went the passengers were coughing and sneezing. We refuse to pay the extra daily on-board cost as we will not subsidise the paying of the crew, that is for the shipping line to ensure that they are paid enough for their duties. As for the food!!!! It was dreadful and we ended up by eating salads at the buffet but we had to ask for sliced tomatoes and the cucumber was sciled too thickly. The cheeses were tasteless and the meats were tough. The pizzas were tasteless and of no variety, same old choice all the time, the coffee was the worst that we have ever tasted so we had nescafe sachets and all of the other passengers that we spoke to were of the same opinion of the food. All in all, it was a waste of money and we were so looking forward to this cruise for such a long time and being retired pensioners we could have done so very much more with our money. Never again. We have cruised with celebrity and norwegian and m.s.c. Must take a few tips from these other cruise lines to come up to scratch.
