We choose this cruise because of the less travelled month and the ports of call. Spent a few days in Barcellona before embarkation and it was wonderful. We stayed at hotel Espana in the heart of the city. It was walking distance to shopping, pastry shops, open markets and the metro. Took the metro to Park Guel and La Familia Sagrada. It was easy, fun and we felt safe.

Embarkation was smooth and that's when the real fun began. We had a mini suite with the club class that included special dining. Oh man were we spoiled. The service was 1st class, had anytime dining and alway got the best table and never one time had to wait. The 16th floor buffet had loads of choices and the staff were excellent. Tables cleaned immediately with cloth napkins and silverware replaced.

Every port was more beautiful than the one before. Took two ship excursions, one to Florence and one to Mt. Vesuvius. Did book a Smart Cruise bus to drop off and pick up in Rome. They were a good service, prompt and easy. You could get transportion in all the ports, either cabs or busses.
