This will be quick. We were a family of six, ages 12 to 58. This was a second cruise for 3 of us, and a first cruise for the kids- age 12-19.
After spending the night in Miami, we arrived at the cruise terminal for embarkation. Lots of people despite being early, but were moved along fairly quick. A few minutes in each line wasn't bad. With that said, I feel that they could use a bit more organization & communication at the counters to check in & set up accounts, etc. After waiting in one line for along time, we were escorted to the front of another line, which upset people in that line for obvious reason. All together it may have taken us 45 minutes max.
We get on the ship, ooh & ahh at the Rotunda, and find our cabins- # 1198 & 1206. Inside cabins on the Riviera deck. After having an OV on the Sensation, this was a change I wouldn't do again. I prefer to look out the window & see whether it is night or day.
#1206- Clean, tidy. Just as we had expected. Water in bathroom a little iffy. Too hot then too cold in the middle of bathing. Reading light was broken, but we left a note & it was fixed that night! The usual samples in the bathrooms. Robes too heavy & bulky for me as I'm only 4'10".
