We joined a group using Native Way Water Sports to visit Stingray City, an uninteresting reef, and Rum Point for a tasty jerk lunch.  The crew was safety conscious, environmentally conscious, and flat out fun.  Even though there are newer boats and fancier operators around Grand Cayman, We recommend this business for cruisers looking for a snorkeling tour.

We used the Celebrity excursion run by Red Sail.  The crew were safety conscious and interacted well with participants.  Watching the dancing during the return leg was fun.  We had partly cloudy skies, and the day was windy and the sea choppy, Reefs were OK.  A good excursion with adequate snorkeling stops.

Due to windy conditions, we canceled our snorkeling excursion.  We did a self-guided tour of the old city, which is walkable and has shopping opportunities.  This is a port that shows the influences of Europe, the Caribbean, and South America.

Curacao

Samur provided transportation to a shore reef that rivals any we have seen in the Caribbean.  A beautiful underwater experience.  The crew were friendly, and displayed both a safety focus and environmental awareness.  This was in contrast to the water taxi operators that unload unsupervised boatfulls of people onto the beach to snorkel without guidance.  While some of the damage we saw comes from any potential visitor, the sea floor shows the sad evidence of broken coral from careless human activity.  We recommend this tour operator for cruisers visiting Bonaire.

Our 9 night Memorial Day Caribbean Cruise was a thoroughly enjoyable vacation, highlighted by stops at Grand Cayman and Bonaire, and underpinned by the good work of the Equinox crew.The ship appears to be in good shape.
