A balcony cabin on deck 9 was good for us, as I wanted views of the coast and passing vessels. Starboard side would be ideal for this Montreal to Boston trip. Decks 9 or 10 are convenient to dining and facilities. Food selection was mediocre, especially compared to a Celebrity cruise. Quality was barely acceptable. Vessel was clean, but showing its age. Staff were excellent, but obviously overworked. Computer seminars were a good idea. We enjoyed two movies, Explorers lounge, with it's library, was more inviting than I expected, certainly better than Celebrity. They had the usual cruise ship nonsense of an art auction and charging extra for all sorts of things, even sodas. We didn't bother with evening entertainment because it has been so disappointing on other cruises. A working interactive map of our progress would have been appreciated. The cruise industry needs to wake up and find good, free internet for guests.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Fairly clean except for cracked tub with dirty looking grout. Reasonable size and storage. Needs painting. Balcony was fine.

Port Reviews

Montreal

Stayed in the old port. Walking was as good as Europe for history and charm, vibrant restaurant scene.
