We boarded Nieu Amsterdam for a 7 day Alaskan cruise as part of a Scenic tour. It was a great ship and the crew were very accomodating, but the whole cruising experience was a bit dull with very little going on. In the evenings the bars were empty and entertainment hard to find. In the da y, apart from the casino and the table tennis tangle, nothing much was happening. The most popular place seemed to be the crows nest, but that was because of the 180degree view.

We did find one bar where a blues band played three times a night - they were great. There was also another bar where a very good classical duet played for about 30 mins at a time. But as soon as they finished, the bar emptied because nothing was happening. It was all a bit sad.

We also did. It appreciate the constant "art" sales being pushed

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Cabin VA

Our cabin was roomy, clean and very comfortable. Bathroom was also very good.

Port Reviews

Glacier Bay

Absolutely stunning few hours slowly cruising through the bay. On board rangers gave a running commentary. Favourite part of our whole tour.
