Embarkation was great. We upgraded to a Haven suite got on ship 5 minutes after we checked in, around 11:30am. Took us to Cagney's for lunch. Menu was not for us so went to buffet.
At 1PM cabins were ready. A few weeks before we went on cruise received email from concierge asking if we needed anything besides basics in cabin. Told her husband was allergic to feathers and down and needed foam pillow and the duvets were way too heavy and hot for us wanted regular blankets. Nothing was in cabin we requested. Had to make a call and the cabin steward Budi brought them that night. . He was wonderful Had a butler, didn't utilize him for anything. Concierge didn't impress us either. When I bid for the room upgrade the boards I read on CC said we would get the Haven suite upgrades too. The drink pkg. the Wi-Fi 250 minutes etc. THIS IS NOT CORRECT! You only get what you had when you booked your original cabin.
Ports were great! In Juneau went to Mendenhall Glacier, walked to Nugget falls and close to glacier, then on to whale watching, saw a couple of whales but were disappointed. We saw more form our balcony then on the excursion we paid a lot of money for. Skagway went on Yukon scenic tour. A small bus think there were 20 of us. Was nice driver stopped where we wanted, Alaska sig, Yukon sign, said he would stop if we saw any critters, but unfortunately didn't see any. Lunch was included, stopped at restaurant, had a variety of sandwiches, on rolls, homemade soups, homemade salads and pie. was very nice. Ketchikan was rainy, went for walk and browsed some stores. Didn't get off at Victoria, seen Butchart gardens many times.
