This was an average Carnival cruise. Have recently started sailing Carnival again after a few years on another line. The quality and cuts are noticeable. Embarkation with staggered check in was a disaster, first time with it and waited on line longer than without (1.5 hours outside in the sun). Food was average and just barely warm in the Main Dining Room. Our servers never once got the entire table order correct. Brought 2 appetizers at the same time every night. Used to be served separately. AC was out in our portion of the dining room one evening. Was told not to order coffee one evening beacuse the "coffee machine is broken and it needs to be gotten from the Lido deck". Took 2 hours and 20 minutes one night to get thtough dinner. The servers were always busy and not receptive to requests for more bread, etc. They are overworked and it shows. Lido food was uninspired. Entetainment was high energy and the highlight of the cruise. Cabin was the average balcony cabin. Also first time in a spa cabin. The Elemis "upgrades" were small samples that were never replaced. No upgrade there. Access to the spa was nice but often crowded. Ports were repeats to us and did not disappoint.

Port Reviews

San Juan

Walkeda round Old downtown San Juan, had a ring sized in PR that I had purchased in St Kitts. Visited Barranchina's for pina colada's.

Grand Turk

Always hang out at Jack's Shack which never disappoints as a great beach day.
