We picked a deal from Claire Newell's Travel Best Bets. Excellent service and direction from the customer service department. This was our first cruise. We took the Sea Bus from North Vancouver, a very easy walk to the terminal. Loading was well organized given that three ships were in port and departing at the same time. Appreciated chairs in the two halls. Just be prepared for a wait, take a book, maybe a snack. Water and washrooms available. We arrived at noon and were on board at 3.The energy is good and people excited.

We had an outside room next to a lifeboat. Not a bad view at all. We slept with the curtains open and could take in the view. Just be prepared as crew members do appear on the walkway outside the window at various times! Excellent king size bed, good linens, excellent closet and storage space for two adults, adequate bathroom with tub. Great room attendants kept the room spotless and tidy.

It takes awhile to get oriented to the ship's layout. The outside glass elevators are a must. Used the stairs a lot to keep limber!Very few smokers in one or two areas. We didn't use the casino. Enjoyed the BB King venue several times, but busy could never get a seat. The bartender was very entertaining. The show room was comfortable; enjoyed the Beatles review. Took one of the digital workshops; would prefer working computers. Found the Wi-Fi slow but understood that was due to satellite service - never hurts to unplug! Really enjoyed the forward lounges and service there. Games and books available. The outside decks are good in all kinds of weather. We didn't use the pools or hot tubs. We thought the spa services were pricey but offered a variety. We did enjoy the wine tastings.

Glacier Bay

We never got off the ship but got so close to glacier could see and hear it breaking up. Otters were on some of the ice on the sea. Good information added to the experience.
