This was our first time on MSC...we wanted to try the Yacht Club (to compare with NCL Haven). Bottom line, the Yacht Club blows away the Haven. The public space for the Yacht Club is incredible, the lounge is huge, and the pool area also is huge. Plenty of loungers for everyone. The service was beyond excellent. Embarkation took only a few minutes. Being in the Yacht Club, we were escorted by a butler to check in, and onto the ship. (I will say the lines for check in for everyone else were horribly long!)
Le Muse (Yacht Club dining room) is in the aft of the ship (really, the only negative, and that has been fixed on newer ships). The food and service were impeccable. Mario, the Maitre D, made fresh pasta dishes several times, and his pasta is to die for! We couldn't get enough of it! We ate there, or at Topsail/One Pool grill all the time, except tried the buffet for lunch once (try the pizza...the best I've had at sea, ever!)
The ship is by far one of the most beautiful ships we've sailed on...the Swarovsky Crystal staircases are amazing. The decor overall is Italian modern. Here and there we saw things that were a little bizarre (WHY is there a lipstick sculpture?? Didn't quite get that!), but overall, very nicely done.
Our cabin was incredible! Huge rooms, plenty of storage. We didn't have a balcony, but the panoramic windows were great. Plenty of room for 3 adults.
