Wanted to try the big ships. Getting on and off in Port Canaveral was a breeze. We parked in Terminal Garage next to elevator that took you right down to terminal entrance - worth the expense! Just felt overwhelmed first day with crowds everywhere (6,454 passengers) that thinned out as days progressed. Can't tell you're on a ship at all - so big and smooth. Theaters were always crowded though for first few days . All entertainment was top notch - except "Cats" was cancelled for 3 showings due to sickness.
Room attendant and wait staff service were great. We had My Time Dining that got us same table/staff each night at 6:30. Seemed to be enough staff aboard. Our mini-suite (room 10636) was nice and comfy - except for unexplained water leak by balcony window. Others in our group enjoyed the nice but less expensive Central Park Balconies across the hall.
Would opt for a private excursion next time in St. Marteen as 2 big cruise buses missed a lot of what I had seen previously on YouTube videos. I did the ship zip line but felt uncomfortable leaving my pocket belongings, wallet, and glasses on deck floor - they need small security lockers by takeoff tower with key attached to your harness. Waited too long to try zip line in Labadee - next time!
Our mini-suite (room 10636) was nice and comfy - except for unexplained water leak by balcony window. Attendant worked hard as room was always clean and fresh ice put in refrig twice a day.
Took the free 'green' trolley around the shopping/restaurant area to top of city and walked/shopped downhill to ship.
Nice private beach with good security but could use more shuttles for amount of people ashore. Needed more bartenders as they (just one guy to start for the first hour) were swamped. Semi-aggressive vendors seemed well policed. Many creative, different art objects for sale than most other islands. Best place to go is Columbus Cove.
