This was our 9th cruise with Princess, and second on the Emerald, and 4th Inside Passage to Alaska. I was more disappointed in this cruise than in the past. Because of the "Club Class" they would not allow you to eat lunch in dining room on boarding day unless you were "Club Class". I do not like Horizon Court and this was not an exception....food cold, tasteless. No place to seat 30000 plus passengers, over 2,000 first time cruisers! Mad house! Wound up at the Pizza/hamburger/hotdogs. UGH! Since we are Platinum, we get on early and our bags always show up soon after boarding. This was the case this trip too. Our room steward Raymondo aka Raymond was attentive at first then he must of discovered our gradutity was part of our package and we hardly saw him after 3rd day. But he kept our room in tip top shape. Food in MDR fixed seating was very very disappointing and tasteless. My DH even opted to not go to dinner twice because food was so bland, not like him at all. I went every meal but one (due to excursion). Last night was a shocker, they informed us the night before, our dining room would be open to everyone, no fixed seating or time. Line to get in was almost unbelievable. They had no dinner in Horizon Court that night and 3000 plus diners trying to get into 2 of three dining rooms was a disaster, luckily one of our table mates, got into our dining room quickly and saved our entire table for us! YEA. I've never experiences such a cattle call on princess. I hope this "club Class" and the final dinner does not become a regular on Princess. Such a disappointment.

Our room Cabin C619 was fantastic as usual. The new beds and pillows are the best ever. Very comfortable and relaxing. I wish Princess would update bathrooms and put in showers without the curtain. Water always splashes all over the bathroom floor because the curtain NEVER is long enough, plus its a tight squeeze for adults and as we age, its harder to move around the tiny shower. Entertainment in Princess theatre was cancelled one night due to rocky seas (they were not that bad, I've seen way worse during performances). I think it was because the show "Magic Do" should of been called "Magic Don't". Very bad, don't go! Music does not fit Magic acts, plus the magic was very poor, not a good performance.

They also cancelled one of our excursions that we were the most interested in going to. Matter of fact, we prepaid for it, we were so excited. It was Haines Cultural Experience. They say not enough people signed up for it. Could be because for almost 4 months, it was not listed on website. We did the Tracy Arms Fjord excursion with Allen Marine Tours, and it was fantastic. Great all female crew. We also did the Jewel Glassblowing and gardens in Skagway and got to blow our very own glass paperweight or ornament. It was shipped to our home free and arrived in great shape. Disembarkation went very smoothly. We were only 30 minutes behind schedule. sure what was going on with photographers, but we only saw them on embarkation, one time at dinner, and on Formal Night. None when we got off ship at ports...odd.

Cabin BD

Great new bed and pillows. Cabin was same as on other Princess ships. Great large balcony. Princess needs to change showers and get rid of shower curtains. Stop putting in the cheap shower gel and shampoo. Both smell like clorox....will not use them.
