We were a group of 8 friends who decided to do a river cruise. We chose Evergreen as it was an Aussie company and it fit everyone's different budgets. My husband and I were lucky enough to book the owners suite and it was absolutely worth every penny. The room was like a 6 star hotel, amazing! It was all of the little extras that made it so memorable. The cruise itself was so well organised and suited everyone. You had so many options. You could be on an organised tour or just experience the different places on your own. The optional tours were well thought out, we did 4 of them and each one was well worth the extra. The food! Fabulous - 4 course meal every night. The wines that went with each meal were local wines and were just great, all included - I don't think my glass was ever empty :) buffets were plentiful and there was something for everyone. Breakfast - well, delicious! A chef waiting for you to cook your eggs just the way you wanted. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I were looking to buy a cuckoo clock in Germany and the staff were very knowledgeable about the different shops to look at and we found the perfect clock! Each place we stopped had a tour that you could do. Evergreen use local guides and they were all amazing. The best part about doing a river cruise is unpacking once, Europe comes to you! We can't wait for our next river cruise, only problem, which one to choose :)
