Firstly let me say this was our first ever cruise, we had put it off for years, because we dreaded the thought of being seasick etc, but I can honestly say we are totally hooked on cruising. We arrived by taxi from Barcelona airport, the cost was €40, very overpriced for the distance travelled, We booked a suite in the Haven as it was a special birthday, and I am so glad we did. We arrived at the terminal at 11am, we went through check in within 5 mins, and were taken to a small lounge where there were drinks and snacks, but we were told we could board immediately. We were escorted on board by a concierge and taken to the Haven, where we were given a tour. We were told we could drop off any bags we had in our rooms but that they weren't completely ready because they were adding the finishing touches. We then had a fantastic lunch in the Haven restaurant, afterwards we took a tour of the rest of the ship. It was amazing, we couldn't believe the size of it, everything was open for us to look around. Later we went to the sail away party at the Posh deck, the bar men Nester and the gang were superb. That night we ate again in the Haven restaurant and then had an early night as we had been up all the previous night, bedtime was the only time we felt any movement, which was a slight vibration when you got into bed, but it actually felt like being rock d to sleep, some people gave complained that because it's an oval bed their feet hung off the end of the bed, but to be honest I am 6ft and never found that to be a problem, we slept like babies every night.

The first day was at sea, which was lovely and relaxing, that night we ate at the La Cuchina specialty restaurant, which after trying the others we decided it was our least favourite, we found the menu slightly restricted, but what we had and the service was excellent.

Tuesday we arrived in Naples and walked ashore and had a lovely time exploring the city. That night we saw the Burn the Floor dance show, it was very professional.

Cabin Review

Courtyard Penthouse with Balcony

Cabin H5

Our cabin was a delight, it was spotlessly clean, plenty of room and a superb amount of storage, I can honestly not find any fault whatsoever, Our butler was Maria, and she didn't know the meaning of no, nothing was to much trouble, she went above and beyond, our steward was Michael, and he was excellent, our cabin was spotless morning, noon and night., Like everyone else we did not like the design of the toilet, but it wasn't a major problem.
