Chose this cruise as it departed out of NYC so no flying was needed. Hell's Kitchen had a street food fair on as we made our way to the Cruise Terminal from Penn Station which made for an interesting walk.
Pretty much everything was great on this, our first cruise. Maybe the pool area was a bit too crowded, entertainment was terrific and we had a perfect day weather wise at Great Stirrup Cay. Had got the 3-dinner package for free but only ate at Le Bistro as we thought the buffet was too good to miss and available without reservations. We also got the 3 excursion deal for free but only did the Kennedy Space Center and Waverunner in GSC. Port Canaveral is a late arrival but it was time enough for a quick look at KSC and we got to see an alligator on the roadside in and a 700lb bald eagle nest coming back. Waverunner excursion was just OK as we had to stay in a line and follow the leader with no idea of where we were going or what we were seeing. Would probably not do dining or excursion packages again. Nassau we chose to walk around by ourselves using a walking route we found on Google. The Art Museum was very worthwhile if you love art.
We thoroughly enjoyed the main stage entertainment musicals presented most nights and thought the staging, costumes and talent were very good. All in all we loved our first cruise.
Great room, clean and comfortable with plenty of storage space for our clothes in 4 drawers and floor to ceiling shelves. There was room under the bed for the two suitcases. Toilet room was a bit tight.
Hey, it's NYC and well worth a look if you've never been. We live in nearby Pa so visit often.
Went walk about by ourselves using a route found on Google. Visit to National Art Gallery was the best part (lol, it was airconditioned! but also great exhibit by Thierry Lamare). The place is really rundown but on the flip side the people were amazingly friendly.
