This cruise was HORRIBLE. NCL is focused only on profits and not customer experience. Once they have your money they ignore you. To summarize A: we were to stop at 5 European ports before our arrival in Copennhagen, we only made 1 of the 5. B: The leadership team repeatedly lied to customers and were arrogant. C: They have cut almost every amenity, and you now have to pay extra for everything. D: We got food poisoning. Please pass the word: CANCEL any NCL cruises you have planned and never book with them again. Tell your friends, and ask them to tell their friends, and keep spreading the word!

The Details:

A: Missed ports. First stop in the Azores, the crew was not able to bring the ship in due to wind! Are you kidding me? Are you professionals, apparently not. We missed our private tour. Second Stop Brest France. We were able to dock but the crew could not figure out how to set up gangway. This crew had no seamanship skills. After 2.5 hours we gave up trying to get off the ship half the day was already gone. The gangway was unsafe, one passenger was badly injured. Upon leaving Brest the captain announced an engine problem, which would result in us arriving 4 hours late into Southampton the next day. Third stop Southampton arrived at Noon instead of 8AM. Crew detained all passengers who were not on an NCL tour so they could exit first. We waited in line 4.5 hours, got off at 430PM. We missed our private tour. Everything in town closed at 5PM there was nothing left to do. Day wasted. Fourth stop ZeBruges CANCELLED. We had to stay in Southampton late to repair the engine so there was not time to make the next port. Fifth Stop Rotterdam. Actually were able to get off the ship

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

Adequate space a bit cramped. The couch is useless it is so uncomfortable there is no purpose in having it in the room. Bathroom was fine. No drawers anywhere in the room makes it difficult to store small items. The room steward was fine. Major issue on first day, the comforter had blood stains on it, and the sheets were yellow, threadbare and pilled. We requested they be changed immediately, which they did do.

Port Reviews

Rotterdam

We got off ship on our own and were able to complete our own plans. This was the only city we were able to visit of the 5 that were scheduled.
