I wanted to go on a cruise to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We chose this cruise because it was stopping in Croatia. Robert had served three tours in the former Yugoslavia with the Canadian Armed Forces and wanted to take me there. We chose Royal Caribbean because of all the things to do onboard and the destinations. It was a great experience, the staff were friendly and helpful. We felt like we were part of a family. The food was superb. We had so many options for eating on the ship. We even got to meet Travis Kamiyama, the founder of Izumi's, and even enjoyed a saki and sushi pairing with him. While on ship, I was treated to a spa sampler and loved it. We also went to a wines of the world wine tasting experience. We've already booked our next cruise and like the small cruise ships. We are planning to convince other family members to join us.

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

It was awesome. Definitely worth getting a balcony

Port Reviews

Venice

We enjoyed Venice and got to go on a Gondola ride. Expect to get lost in Venice

Dubrovnik

We walked the old city wall and took the cable car up to a restaurant

Kotor

It was a breathtaking walk up to the fort at the top of the mountain but definitely worth the 3 euros each

Santorini

We rented a quad and were able to go to a monastery which had a great view of the island. We also went to Kamari beach which I highly recommend beach shoes because it was rocky but the water was refreshing. It was fun driving the quad around the island with lots of switchbacks.

Katakolon (Olympia)

We took a bus for 8 euros round trip to ancient Olympia. Tickets for Olympia were $12 euros which included two museums as well as the ancient Olympic grounds and stadium. It was worth it. The same excursion offered on the ship would have cost $104 USD
