Sail Date: May 2017
Cabin: Grand Suite

We chose this particular ship because of timing and Itinerary. We had read reviews mentioning the age and condition of the ship, but were very pleasantly surprised with how it appeared in general. We were in a Grand Suite (1550) and it was excellent. The location was perfect, it was in very good condition, and we were shocked by how much space there was to store things. I am a firm believer that more is less. I pack enough for every possible condition, and usually bring home a suitcase of unused outfits. We didn't make a dent it the storage space.

The service was excellent, although the crew seemed to be stretched a bit thin. The Concierge Lounge was a nice bonus, and Mario, the Concierge became a part of our family. He truly enhanced the trip with his warmth, ability to arrange anything at the drop of a hat, professionalism and knowledge of anything related to the cruise.

The Entertainment was exactly what you would expect. Nothing to rave about, but not bad.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

The cabin was perfect. Nice and large with lots of storage. The veranda was more than adequate with two lounge chairs, and a table with seating for two. The location was wonderful. Just a few doors down from the central atrium, but far enough away not to hear any noise. It was exactly as pictured on the RC brochure, but felt much larger. If I ever sailed on Serenade again, I would request that Suite!

Port Reviews

Tallinn

Beautiful winding cobblestone streets with the typical array of shops and restaurants.
