Sail Date: May 2017
Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

We had a balcony room on deck 7. The cabin was great - roomy, nice sized balcony and the bed was very comfortable. The A/C didn't seem to work properly at times, and as it was humid during our trip, that was uncomfortable for us. Also, it would have been great to have coffee/tea in the cabin as this is a sight-seeing trip, which means we were up at 5:30-6:00am to get dressed, grab breakfast and get off the ship as most tours started at 8am. Slogging through without coffee until you sat at breakfast was difficult.

There was very little information provided about the cities we were visiting the day before we landed at each port. This was disappointing. There was also lack of information on where we needed to wait to disembark at each port - wait on Deck 2? Deck 1? Where? Also, there was a lack of activities at night, I felt. Trivia at the Schooner lounge (which was run by a borderline mean activities person, I mean sarcasm is funny, but he was kinda getting rude), maybe a show, and the movies were shown on the pool deck and it was FREEZING at night, not to mention the sound system didn't carry past the wind on the deck. Boo.

The meals were ok - but the service during our dinner was FANTASTIC. Amie and Anthony were so good about encouraging us to try new types of foods, and we always had our drinks ready for us when we arrived. EXCELLENT service.

Port Reviews

Marseille

Beautiful town. Must see. NOTE: LOTS of walking. Beware.

Marseille

Charming port city - great seafood!

Marseille

Notre Dame de la Garde - beautiful, breathtaking views of the city.

Barcelona

Great city. If you're going to cruise, get there a day early to catch the sights in Barcelona.

Villefranche

Beautiful area, great tour.

Florence (Livorno)

Seeing the works of Michelangelo and his David was amazing. Book skip-the-line tickets. Giovanni check out the lines while we were purchasing our tickets AND his company made skip-the-line reservations for us just in case. Amazing.

Florence (Livorno)

Book with Lucca Limo - Giovanni is an EXCELLENT guide/driver.

Florence (Livorno)

Again, Giovanni and company did a great job of getting us to the tower, and even helped us order a coffee at a cafe AND gelato! WOW!!!
