About us: DH is 51 and I am turning 50 (a first for me... eeek!). This cruise, my third on Fantasy and DH's second, was to celebrate my coming of age... lol. We have also sailed on Princess.

Embarkation: A breeze! We arrived at the port at 1020am, were seated in the VIP area by 1040am and were on the ship having lunch by 1140am. It wasn't a bad wait at all. During the wait we met up with some of our CC friends and our dinner companions for the next 5 evenings. We were able to get into our cabin by 1pm. Looked around, checked out our obstructed balcony and then started exploring the ship.

Cabin: We originally booked a 6A OV and were upgraded to a 6B and then upsold to a Category 11 Suite. From what I understand, this suite is the same size as balcony cabins on the newer ships, but that was fine with us. It was a good size for us, with a sofa and a queen bed (two twins pushed together). We had an obstructed view balcony, but you could see over the rescue boat and around it. I will say the balcony was SMALL... lol. However, we were both able to sit out and enjoy our coffee each morning.

Cabin Review

Cabin 11

V38 - Great, great location! Very quiet with very little traffic. Three closets so there was more than enough room for our stuff.

Balcony is very narrow with an obstructed view, but with some maneuvering we were able to both sit and enjoy our coffee each morning. Even with the rescue both in front of us, we could see out, down and to the left and right.
