Sail Date: May 2017

We chose this cruise because it was visiting places we had not been to before and we like to try somewhere different each time we cruise.

The cruise was billed as a gateway cruise, calling at ports that gave access to locations further afield from the port towns themselves. That said, some of the ports of call were worth visiting for themselves.

We did find that we could make our way to some of the places offered as Thomson tours much cheaper under our own steam. Whether we were just lucky or not, we came across some very good taxi drivers and tuc-tuc operators who were very knowledgeable about the places visited and made very good tour guides.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe

Room 226 had undergone some refurbishment, certainly with a new bathroom. Beds could be single or put together as a double bed.

The cabin is on deck 6 and provides easy access to the promenade deck if you are a smoker. The cabin has a settee, a dressing table chair, stool and a coffee table. There is a fridge in the cabin.
