Cabin: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

We chose this cruise for the timing and itinerary. It was our 10th cruise, but our first with Norwegian, having previously cruised with Cunard, Holland America and P&O.

Our fellow passengers were a wide range of nationalities and ages, but the ship had a distinct 'American' feel. Although we quite like to 'dress up', we were aware of Norwegian's ultra-casual environment, so prepared for a different experience. However, some people completely ignored even the very liberal dress code, which was a little disappointing.

We arrived in Venice a day before joining the ship, which gave us time for a little sight-seeing. However, from a previous visit we knew that Venice is very crowded during the daytime at this time of year, but getting around is much easier in the early evening.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Described as a Mini Suite, this was, to all intents. a large balcony cabin. The bed was very comfortable. There was adequate drawer / shelf space, though the internal shelving in the wardrobe was difficult to access, as your hanging clothes got in the way. Not particularly well-designed. The dressing table was well provided with electrical outlets including a UK 3 pin socket. The TV pivoted to allow you to watch from the bed or the sofa. There was a minibar and coffee maker provided, which our cabin steward replenished daily. The larger than average bathroom had a bath with shower over and a separate toilet compartment. Our cabin steward was cheery, helpful and effiecie.nt
