This cruise was chosen for the itinerary a transatlantic to ports new to me - Ponta Delgado, Brest, France and Zeebrugge, Belgium. Tenth cruise taken with third on NCL. Most disorganized muster station drill I have experienced. Many stations all in the same atrium area and we had to find our specific staff within a disorganized crowd to check in. All the assistant cruise director did was keep telling us to stop talking but nothing to assist the organization of the mess. Main noisy atrium activities with guest services, internet cafe, etc surrounding with no separation so very difficult to converse with staff. Since we missed our first port due to weather, after 11 days at sea could not wait to get on land at Brest. Got to within 15 passengers of checking out to get off ship. Gangway problems and our group told to follow a staff member when we were just dumped at the end of a 2 hour line to get off the ship, walked off with no further explanation. When we saw we had just 2 hours at Brest due to delays, went in line to cancel the shuttle we paid for. We were "greeted" by the Guest service rep with a sour face and he did not say anything, we heard no sorry for the inconvenience or we are glad to cancel and reimburse. We then booked a tour at Southampton to make sure we were given some priority to get off on port. Instead we are gathered for a 3 hour line to get through UK Immigration. Could have communicated with all of us what was going on, how much longer, and maybe even offered a cup of water. Instead after we paid to get some priority to get off the ship, they open a door to let the general masses in with our group again with no control of the situation or any guidance given to this hoard. Unfortunately missed Zeebrugge due to engine issues.

Our mini suite was a good size with good size bathroom. Bed very uncomfortable with a thin eggcrate mattress topper that kept bending and folding, regular mattress underneath was very lumpy. Wait staff in complementary dining venues slow and an episode of 40 minute wait with no drink refill and advised that dessert ordered not available. Specialty restaurants did have the very good service I have come to expect on cruises. Even with the issues encountered during this cruise good customer service that I have become accustomed to on previous cruises would have helped assist with the frustrations. Difficult to find seating in public area with good lighting and quietto read a book or relax. Library often busy.

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

Size of mini suite was good. Main area size good and good size bathroom with shower and two people sink good.

Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable. The lumpy mattress was topped with a thin egg crate topper that kept moving, bending and folding making it difficult to get a good sleep.

Carpet stained and getting tired looking.
