We had a great time and got a great deal on the cruise which made up for some of what was lacking by the ship and our first experience with Royal Caribbean. Not much to do on the ship. First time with Royal Caribbean and did not feel "wow'ed" by the ship's elegance, overall staff, etc. Felt like things that were standard with other cruise lines were upcharges with RC. Had an amazing time in Nassau and was the highlight of our trip. Booked excursions based on TripAdvisor reviews and went with private excursion rather than RC. Coco Cay was pretty but disappointed in the upcharges for the inflatables, overpriced snorkel rental, and lack of staff friendliness. Rooms were much smaller than our previous cruises with Carnival and NCL. Overall though, it's hard not to have a good time on a cruise. Loved spending time with family and friends that cruised with us, food was good, and dining room staff were incredible. Options for food in between meals, particularly late afternoon/early evening were very limited in comparison to other cruises. Teens didn't find many activities to participate in.
