This is our fourth cruise on NCL, 3rd on the Dawn. We love the fact it leaves out of Boston and that we need not fly. It means our vacation starts sooner with way less stress.

I bought the spa pass for the week and it was worth every penny and then some. There were plenty of food options and restaurants to choose from. I loved that breakfast was served I think up until 10:30 or so. O'Sheehans was always good they served all you can eat ribs one evening and we had prime rib the last night. It was great. We ate in the Aqua a number of nights and it was good. We had lunch 1 afternoon in the Venetian and it was good too. I never had a meal that I did not like. We did not do Specialty dining this time around. We got the beverage package and it did not disappoint. We never ever experienced any employee at anytime that did not have a smile on their face all the time. They were there to assist you with any request. Lots of changes on board with the refurbishment too many to list, but all were beautiful. Getting on and off the ship was a breeze. We usually get there around 10:30 or so but chose to go slightly later to avoid sitting in the waiting area. It worked out fine. I love the fact they had organized transportation out front for folks being picked up or getting a taxi. The entertainment out by the pool was great, lots of music most of the day and there were always something going on in the evening as well. It seems as though there were many more choices on a daily basis than in the past. And as always Bermuda was beautiful. We took a mini bus that was 7$ each way to Horseshoe Bay. Well worth it as we did not need a bus pass. NCL provides a free ferry to St. George a number of times a day...if you would like to do that I would suggest getting in line early as it fills up fast. It was a great vacation and I would do it again. I am hopeful NCL will bring another ship or 2 into Boston one day.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IC

This was the first time we tried an inside cabin. It was plenty spacious for both my Husband and myself. It served the purpose, but I just did not like the darkness. I have had balconies, portholes and mini suites in the past. It depends on what is affordable to me at the time of booking. Felix the room steward was great. Always available to get you what you need. He was efficient, friendly and accommodating. The only thing I did not like is a slight odor was coming from the sink, some sort of dirty water smell I am not sure as I have never experienced this on any cruise before. I just covered it with a facecloth and went on my way. I did not mention it as I was only in the room to sleep. But it should be looked into.
