We arranged a group of 10 of us to celebrate some birthdays in Tahiti for a 10 day cruise on the Sirena. We chose Sirena due to its itinerary as it went from Papeete to other Leeward islands. We are Diamond Plus on Royal Caribbean, and also Celebrity. This is the first “high end” we’ve done other than Silver Seas Galapagos.

Most reviews have done an accurate job on ship’s description. While it’s a smaller ship than we’re used to, we liked it for a change. The problem was with A/C by the elevator stacks. They must leave doors open somewhere as it was always unbearably hot waiting for an elevator.

We had a Suite, so his entitled us to two nights in Tuscan Grill and two in Red Ginger. Red Ginger was incredible. All of us being foodies, we enjoyed all the dishes. Tuscan was a different story. We ordered the 40oz Porterhouse for 2 with a side lobster tail. The steak was 90% fat, and the lobster served raw to everyone. No one would touch it. We mentioned but were not interested in waiting for another. The maitre’d did not even come over to address the situation. We ate in the dining room the rest of the nights which was actually quite good. We usually forgo the dining room on RCCL in favor of a specialty one every night. The MDR on Sirena had plenty of choices and service was impeccable. We all had the beverage package, and they kept our wine glasses full. The problem here is they ran out of our wine 3 days before the cruise ended. We were disappointed in how they handled this. Each restaurant would say “we’re out of it” not let me see what we can substitute. I requested the Food & Beverage manager contact me, but he never did.
