This was our second time on the Star Princess and we loved them both. My wife and I are both Platinum members and love the Princess Cruise line. As said in previous reviews the Star is by far our favorite. Some Crew and the Captain had just been changed out after arriving in Vancouver from Hawaii. We flew into Seattle the night before departure, and took the Amtrak Cascade to Vancouver. Upon Arriving walked down the street and took the Sky train to the port. Previously getting through customs took 3 hours and almost missed the boat so we jumped in line. 6000 people trying to get processed took over two hours. Ounce into the line for princess, no waiting and got aboard quickly. Luggage made it all on time and in good shape. Not sure what happened to our hotel steward but our room was kept tidy and clean. He showed up the next day and introduced himself. We love the Lido deck because it is close to all pools, and food activities so we generally book a balcony on that deck. The other nice thing about the star is the covered pool that is very nice on cold days. With such tight back to back ports you just can’t enjoy the ship to its full potential. We made most of the special events, Naturalist, Puppies in Piazza, vegetable Carving, but the latter night events we did not get to see because of the early starts the next morning for Ports. Food was up to It’s normal high standards. We don’t participate in the dress up events anymore because that is just another outfit to lug with us. We ate in the steak house and found out they now limit what you can order. One item in each of the courses. We ate well as usual but miss getting to order whatever we want in quantity. Interior ships condition seemed fine for the age of the vessel. It is scheduled for a long overdue dry dock in Early December. The weather was blessed by God, because this being the first cruise out they had not seen a more glorious days in what the naturalist said 14 years of cruising this same route.

The ports we had a lot of fun. Thank you all for the Premiere stay that we had been treated to.

Ketchikan, Alaska | Fun port for shopping. This is a very short stop so my wife shopped and I videoed Eagles and Seals.
