Sail Date: Apr 2017
Cabin: Concierge Class 1

I did the Ft. Lauderdale to Amsterdam transatlantic in a concierge cabin 9380 in April of 2017. This was my first solo cruise and it was very good. The cabin was aft and the cabin steward made it very comfortable and went above and beyond what is expected to make me feel well cared for. The crossing was on slightly rocky on one or two days and we had rain for some of the days. This was my third Celebrity and 20th overall cruise. The ship is beautiful but if you have any mobility issues I would not book the back of the ship as it was quite a ways to get to the elevators. The cabin of course was spacious for one and very comfortable. There was noise from a door being open and closed as this cabin was right next to a door that employees used. The bathroom was very well laid out. The food in the MDR was good but not as good as in previous cruises. I got the dining package so was able to try every specialty restaurant and my favorite was QSine. The Lawn Club was fun to watch everyone make their own pizza flat breads. Being that I am from the Midwest the steaks were good just nothing I would rave over. Café Al Bacio was a favorite spot for coffees and teas. The entertainment on this sailing was some of the best I have ever seen on any cruise ship. The captain was very humorous and his entire staff was very visible and engaging. The few stops that we had were very far from most must see excursions. There were lots of activities and extra entertainment for the crossing. Embarkation was slow due to weather. Disembarkation was normal. To those that do Zeebruge take the excursion for Gent if only for the Belgium chocolate.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin C1

The aft cabin with the wake views was very well laid out and the bathroom was better than most cruise line. There is a door right next to your cabin that crew uses so there was some noise from that, but otherwise the cabin was very quiet. There seemed to always be water on your balcony from above. They were constantly cleaning and if you were not careful you could get wet stepping out onto your balcony. They should just stop the little appetizers they leave for you every afternoon as they were really disgusting for the most part. Who leaves out shrimp and fish?!
