After having such a lovely cruise last year from Budapest to Amsterdam, this year was a little disappointing, the cruise itself along the Danube was very boring trees trees and more trees along the river not very much to see an the cruise director wasn't very helpful or interested in getting the passengers to integrate, we only had one quiz night and unlike last year not even raffles of small gifts.
The food was very mediocre and for a river cruise you would have thought shell fish rather than just normal fish fillets could have been served. On our visit to the Portobello we had just one prawn each and on the evening of the Captains Gala Dinner a fifty pence size piece of Lobster that I couldn't even get my teeth into.
Also last year my special meals of NO onions -NO garlic and GLUTEN Free was outstanding with everything made on board but this year my so called crusty bread came out of a packet and I won't eat that at home, the Maitre De took great pride in showing me the packet it came out of. The chef Suzi was very helpful but just gave me things from the same menu as everyone else just took out the onions and garlic etc, but made me little chocolate deserts all but 2 meals.
