We recently returned from sailing on the Oasis of the Seas on the Western Caribbean Itinerary. The cruise wasn't necessarily bad, it just wasn't very memorable for us. This was our second time on this class of ship (sailed Harmony in November 2016), and we both agreed that we would not do this class of ship again. Between the two, our cruise on Harmony was so much better than the Oasis.

1) Our cruise director was probably the worst CD we have ever experienced in all of our cruising. He was just completely absent the entire week. It wasn't until the 3rd day that we even knew what he looked like when he introduced the headline show in the theater. We saw him one other time (Love and Marriage show). Every other activity or show on board, including the Quest game show was MC'd by his activities manager, Magic Marvin who was very good and in essence should have been our cruise director!

2) Shows were just ok on this cruise. Nothing very memorable or WOW, like we have had on previous RCCL cruises. First, Cats is just the wrong show to have on a cruise ship. I like musicals and I like Broadway plays and performances...this one was not right for a ship! The performers are great, but it's so hard to follow (and I know the play Cats!). Most people left after about 15 minutes and more than half the theater cleared out at intermission. My poor husband finally got to a point where he couldn't handle it anymore and we left about 30 minutes before it would have been over. We had an Abba tribute band on board for the headline show and they were great! The ice show, aqua show and other theater show were all good...just not really "over the top"!
