This was my 1st cruise and I had severe reservations to the point I almost cancelled the trip, happily I didn't. My first surprise was the size of the cabin #4090. It was designed for wheelchair access and so was wider than all on Deck 4. This cabin is situated directly over the exit ramp from the ship on Level 3, however it didn't cause any concerns as we were leaving the ship for shore excursions anyway. The room was cleaned daily, I had a number of minor complaints but nothing that wasn't remedied immediatley and with a happy smile from the cabin attendant. I do warn anyone taking this cruise to pack something very warm to see the shows, it was freezing to the point we saw a woman walking around with a blanket from her bed around her shoulders, we had to go outside a number of times to warm up. The standard of the entertainment was fantastic, Frankie Valley and the 4 Seasons was my favourite as was the tribute to Hollywood musicals. We dined in the complementary Resturant Liberty every night, the standard was very good, I did return 3 meals, not for lack of quality but due to my own dislike for the dish, and this was done without complaint from staff who readily bought me something else. Dining staff were without complaint, clean, mannered, smiling, and with an excellent level of professionalisim, I simply could not fault anything. I was concerned about previous bad reviews however I found no fault...and I'm a very fussy eater.. If you are considering this trip, do it as it is the ultimate way to see the islands. Research Island tours before you go as there are numerous options. We did a day tour with NCL and by the time we managed to get off the bus carrying 60 passengers half the alloted visit time had gone, so look at all your options, just make sure the provider gives a guarantee your return to the ship is on time. My travel preference is independant land travel and this was my first cruise, there are many positives travelling this way.
