Just back from our best cruise ever! We had the pleasure of sailing the Carnival Liberty Eastern Itinerary which visited Half Moon Cay Bahamas, St. Thomas USVI, San Juan Puerto Rico and Grand Turk. This will be a very detailed review and I hope to post pictures to accompany it soon but after diligently seeking detailed reviews of these ports of call before leaving, I know those on the way to these ports will be thankful for the tips.

We flew from Detroit to Miami, arriving at MIA at 11:55 a.m. on the day of departure. We quickly hailed a cab to the Port of Miami. Our cab fare was $24 however we asked our cabbie to take us to a store where we could purchase soda and water so we rounded it up to $30. We tipped the baggage porters $1 per bag (highly recommended) and were through the lines for custom, sign & sale etc. and were on the ship by about 1:30pm.

We grabbed lunch at the Fish n' Chips spot (above Emile's lido buffet restaurant at the back of the ship) and it was Delicious! Tip#1 - This was a great spot to arrange for future meet ups with our friends as it was rarely crowded, had great views all around and access to the main buffet as well as the yummy seafood, fries and salad available at the fish n' chips bar.
