Never finding a seven day cruise long enough my husband and I chose back to back cruises, Aegean Meze and Adriatic Explorer, that pulled in easy to access ports of call. It was our first time on the Dream and we were glad it wasn't any bigger as we seemed to be walking miles finding our way about. Our cabin was an outside plus (deck 7) which was spacious with a very comfy queen size bed, chair, sofa and adequate wardrobe/drawer space. There was also a shower over the bath (which you couldn't turn off fully). The ship in general was well kept by the hard working crew and our cabin and the public areas were clean and comfortable.

We breakfasted mostly in Sirens on deck 11 which was self service and less busy than the Lido restaurant. There was a good selection of food in both restaurants from traditional full English to Continental with various pastries/fruit etc. We lunched a few times in the Lido which had a good selection of cold meats/salads and roast of the day and other hot meat and fish dishes with various vegetables, cheeses etc. plus desserts/puddings and free ice cream. Finding a wine waiter here at lunch time was difficult. We did not visit any of the speciality restaurants as we found Orion restaurant to offer a very good menu every night with plenty of choice. The vegetables are not served separately but on one occasion my husband asked for more and a selection was brought for him. Coffee was always offered. The waiters were very friendly and attentive and our wine glasses always topped up.

We went to a couple of shows which were entertaining enough but thought that the singing was not as strong as the dancing. We did enjoy the other singers/musicians on board, particularly Top Men who must be the best band on the high seas. There were Spa treatments (which were a bit more expensive than at home) and some other leisure activities on board but I was disappointed there was no yoga or dance classes. There was a photographer to take pictures on the gala night and at every port but these were quite expensive.

Cabin Review

Cabin Outside plus

Spacious with a very comfy queen size bed, soft pillows, chair, sofa and adequate wardrobe/drawer space. There was also a shower over the bath (which you couldn't turn off fully). Large window. The cabin steward kept it very clean.
