It had been over 20 years at least since my fiancé and I each had cruised. (We were not together at the times that we last cruised, so I kinda feel that this is our first cruise as so much has changed.)

But overall, the experience was a great one. There were a few minor hiccups here and there, but overall, we fell in love with cruising and are thinking about where to go to next.

Embarkation was a breeze.. Barcelona is a pretty easy place to embark. There were at least 20 agents there to help. We arrived at port about about 11:45 and we on board in less than 30 minutes.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony

Cabin B1

This cabin was amazing. It is an aft-balcony handicapped cabin. This provided us with a wider cabin, a wider balcony (we had two chaises, two chairs and a small table out there), a boat load (pun kind of intended) of storage space (even our big suitcases fit under the bed). The bathroom unlike regular state rooms has the shower and toilet in the same "room" and the sink in the cabin area.

The only issue that I can think off was that since the shower and toilet were on the same level, the water from the shower would move over to the drain near the toilet. It make the entire space wet. It would dry quickly if we left the door open after a shower.

The bed was very comfy and I didn't seem to find the length an issue as other cruises had mentioned about bed length in the standard cabins.

One thing to mention is that there was no sofa here. Instead a long desk with a chair and another chair that never really seemed to find it's place in the cabin. If you are one who enjoys sitting on a sofa in a cabin as opposed to on the balcony, that would be the only reason why I would say this room is not for your..
