We chose the Norwegian Spirit for the Itinerary and also the price. I am so glad we didn't overlook this fantastic ship when reading some of the previous reviews were anything to go by. We had the holiday of a lifetime. We had never been to Europe before and agree that on- board shore excursions are very expensive but you DONT have to book them !!!! We gladly saved up and went on the ships tours because it made us feel safe and we didn't have the worry of the ship leaving without us if anything happened during the tours. We had absolutely fantastic tours in every port and they were well worth every cent we paid. Everything about the Norwegian Spirit was fantastic, the crew were so friendly and eager to help, the food was amazing and we only went to the dining room once as we were so tired after each day's tour so we ate in the buffet which had a great variety of food. You could always find something delicious to eat. The balcony cabin was roomy and the bed really comfortable and we had ample storage. Our room attendant was really wonderful and friendly and kept our cabin in tip top shape. We have been on two other cruises with other cruise lines and we can categorically say that the on-board entertainment was the best we have ever seen. We only missed one night and thoroughly enjoyed the other 10 night's shows, great variety and world class talent. We would most definitely go back on Norwegian Spirit again without question. The embarkation was done in a very professional manner and the disembarkation was the best we have encountered. The ship is older than some but it was completely welcoming, comfortable and we had a great holiday and would recommend it to anyone.
