We were part of an alumni group (Geaux Cajuns) that cruised the Carnival Dream on May 14-21, 2017. We upgraded to a 6th floor balcony room which proved to be a good move. The room and bed were comfortable. The balcony was private as you had to lean out to see below. Just over our balcony were lounge chairs and not far down was a hot tub and other outdoor furniture. Some time during every day we had direct sun and could sunbathe on the balcony.
The food varied on this ship. The regular dining room menus change daily but always included fish, pork, beef and vegetarian options. The dinner menu included salads, appetizers, sides and entrees and you can order more than one of anything on the menu. On the seadays, they offered brunch from 8:30 to 1:00. That menu ranged from eggs to salmon and included sides and desserts. Huevos Rancheros was an especially good dish on the brunch menu.
Pig and Anchor served very good bbq but was only opened on seadays and then only for 2.5 hours at lunchtime. We mistakenly waited till the last seaday to try this restaurant.
